Local estate agency William H Brown is urging home owners to seize the opportunity of a sale by instructing them this summer.  As part of its national network Sequence, William H Brown recorded eight buyers chasing each new home coming onto the market in June* and with heightened buyer activity, summer could be the perfect time to find a buyer.  Indeed, it would seem that while others are winding down for a well-earned annual break, the team at William H Brown  is working harder than ever to secures sales on their vendors properties, so much so that they are achieving 99% of the asking price.**

“Contrary to popular opinion, summer is as good a time as any to sell a property and especially right now when buyers are competing for a limited number of homes on the market,” says David Plumtree, Group Chief Executive at parent company Sequence.  “With many committed buyers actively seeking to purchase a home, home owners shouldn’t delay putting their house on the market thinking the summer months will be quiet, as it’s quite the opposite.  Our experienced team is on hand over the summer months to help you.”

Sellers needn’t worry if they have a holiday planned either – they need only notify their estate agent of the dates of any holidays, and then arrangements can be made for access and viewings in their absence:

“Even if you can’t be contacted whilst you’re away, you can still leave specific instructions in writing with your estate agent and legal representatives about what offer may be acceptable,” continues David.  “Whether you are going away or not, there’s no reason to delay your sale until after the summer – your ideal buyer might be out there at this very moment.”
